Wheeling High School Jazz Band Competes in Battle of the High School Jazz Bands Contest

Wheeling High School's award-winning jazz band has been selected as a finalist in the Chicago-based radio station WLFM-LP (87.7) and the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University's Battle of the High School Jazz Bands contest. They will perform two pieces live at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University on November 17, 2010 at 7:00pm along with three other finalists. A panel of judges will review the performances and name a winner.

The winning band will receive a $2,000 cash prize to use for its school's  jazz program.
