Farmers Market Returns Sunday With COVID-19 Guidelines
The Buffalo Grove Farmers Market will take place at Mike Rylko Park.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — It might look a little different, but attendees of the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market can expect the annual community event to be a popular destination, per usual. Starting this weekend, the market runs from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Sunday through Oct. 11.
The market will feature locally grown fruits, vegetables, condiments, gourmet coffee and pastries, and more. In addition, business sponsored booths and non-profit booths will showcase local organizations and businesses.
Per a village ordinance, dogs are prohibited in the market.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, a number of new guidelines will be followed at the market, including:
SOCIAL DISTANCING AND CROWD CONTROL

- Vendors will be adequately spaced - keeping in mind social distancing.
- Volunteers will monitor pedestrian traffic in the market.
- No gathering, sitting or entertainment on site.
MINIMIZING OF CONTACT
- Pre-ordering of product is encouraged see Farmers Market Facebook Page.
- Patrons will not be allowed to consume food on premises. All prepared foods must be wrapped and offered to go.
- Hand contact between vendor and shoppers should be limited. Shoppers should point to the product that they want and vendor will then bag it, and set down on table for shopper to pick up.
- Cashless sales are also recommended.
FACE COVERINGS AND OTHER SANITATION
- All vendors, employees and patrons are required to wear face coverings. Volunteers will monitor face coverings. Masks will be offered for sale for people not having one.
- Food demonstrations and sampling are strictly prohibited.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the market.
- All vendor employees should have access to handwashing, hand sanitizers (at least 60% alcohol) and gloves for all employees.
- Vendors must sanitize their stands regularly, wiping down tables, terminals, cash boxes etc. with approved disinfectants.
