Fire Damages Buffalo Grove Condo
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze Saturday night, and residents were later allowed back into the building.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A Saturday night condo fire in Buffalo Grove was quickly extinguished and caused no injuries, according to the Buffalo Grove Fire Department.
Firefighters were called at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, to 70 Old Oak Drive for a reported structure fire.
When Engine 26 arrived, crews found smoke coming from a first-floor unit.

Firefighters began an interior attack, stretching a hose line into the condo while simultaneously searching for occupants.
The fire was quickly extinguished, according to the department.

Fire Confined To Bedroom
Fire officials said the occupants of the condo were not home at the time of the fire.
The flames were confined to a bedroom, while the rest of the unit sustained smoke and water damage.
The building had a functioning fire alarm system.
After the fire was extinguished and conditions were deemed safe, the remaining residents were allowed to return to their condos.
No residents or firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
