Hanul Family Alliance Serves Korean Americans and Immigrant Families
Hanul Family Alliance is one of the Vernon Township Community Mental Health Board (VTCMHB) grant recipients.

Founded in 1987 as the Korean American Senior Center, Hanul Family Alliance (Hanul) has grown into a comprehensive community-based organization dedicated to serving Korean Americans and immigrant families throughout the Chicagoland area, with locations in Chicago, Lincolnshire and Mount Prospect. Hanul provides essential, linguistically accessible, and culturally competent services designed to empower vulnerable populations. Its mission is to promote healthy aging, support family wellness, and foster sustained community engagement for individuals navigating systemic, linguistic, and financial barriers. In 2025, Hanul addressed the vital needs of 5,660 individuals.
Direct Services and Outreach
Hanul offers a range of comprehensive and culturally informed direct services. Older adults are empowered to age safely and comfortably at home through comprehensive Home Care services and a vibrant Adult Daycare Services (ADS) program based at the Mount Prospect location. Wraparound programs include culturally familiar congregate daily lunches, Home-Delivered Meals for homebound individuals, and senior wellness classes to promote physical health. Public benefits application assistance, adult education, English as a second language (ESL), community wellness and life enrichment programs prevent social isolation and support older immigrants’ journey towards healthy aging. Immigration services, citizenship classes, and a free legal clinic are also offered.
