Hawkins Named Next Principal At Wheeling High School: District 214
Angela Hawkins is currently the associate principal of instruction.

WHEELING, IL — Angela Hawkins, an employee at Wheeling High School since 2006, will be the school's next principal, effective July 1. She currently serves as the head of the school's social science and world language division.
"Angela Hawkins embodies the values of collaboration, innovation and academic excellence that define Wheeling High School," Superintendent Dr. Scott Rowe said. "Her deep connection to the school community and proven ability to inspire students and staff alike position her to lead with vision and purpose. We are excited to see the remarkable work she will accomplish in this role."
According to District 214, Hawkins began her career as an Italian teacher and later assumed leadership roles, "demonstrating her ability to drive impactful change." Most recently, she has served as the associate principal of instruction, where she championed strategic planning, supported innovative teaching practices and fostered a culture of growth and collaboration.

Hawkins holds a master's degree in secondary school administration and principalship from
Concordia University Chicago and a bachelor's degree in secondary education and teaching
from Northeastern Illinois University.
