Illinois Commission Disbars Buffalo Grove Attorney
Charisse Angela Bruno was among 11 lawyers recently disbarred in the state.

A Buffalo Grove attorney is among 11 lawyers in the state who were disbarred by the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Charisse Angela Bruno, who was licensed in 1983, was disbarred. After she was suspended from the practice of law for professional misconduct, she continued to represent a client in a divorce matter, according to the Illinois State Bar Association website. She then failed to cooperate with the ARDC investigation into her post-suspension activities, according to the court.
A Prospect Heights attorney was among 36 suspended. David Leo Wisniewski, who was licensed to practice law in 2000, was suspended for six months and until further order of the court.

He failed to file a bankruptcy petition on behalf of a client, did not keep that client informed about her bankruptcy petition and failed to refund an unearned fee, according to the ISBA website. He also did not cooperate with the ARDC disciplinary investigation.
The Illinois Supreme Court announced the filing of lawyer disciplinary orders on September 21.
