Indian Trails Library extends its services to homebound members
Through the Homebound Service, eligible members can receive library items via the U.S. Postal Service.

Wheeling, IL – The Indian Trails Public Library District (ITPLD) is extending its services to members who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or permanent disabilities or illnesses.
Service Details
Eligibility: Must be an ITPLD member with a valid library card and reside within the library’s district boundaries.
Frequency: Available weekly, twice a month or once a month.

Item Limit: Limited number of items fit into a delivery bag. There is no limit on the number of bags.
Package Handling: Members must be able to receive large packages and return items by mail in a reusable pre-stamped package.

Fees: No late or overdue fines, but fees are assessed for lost or damaged items, including the bag.
Loan Period: Items can be checked out for 6 weeks, with up to 3 renewals if another member has not requested the item.

Additional Services: The library also offers regular visits to the following locations with a variety of materials available for checkout:
- Belmont Village: First Wednesday of the month, 9:30-10:15 am.
- Wheeling Towers: First Wednesday of the month, 10:30-11:15 am.
- Addolorata Villa: Second and fourth Thursday of the month, 1:15-2:15 pm.
Residents are encouraged to inform their senior living community director if they wish to receive library services.
Low Vision and Vision Impairment Services: Members can sign up for Talking Book and Braille Services (TBBS) through the library. Books and magazines in braille or audio formats are available free-of-charge for those who qualify.
