Jewel, Mariano's: Christmas 2022 Grocery Store Hours In Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Families across Buffalo Grove are preparing to gather this Christmas, when many will enjoy good company, lots of presents and the perfect holiday meal.

In our quest to make that perfect holiday meal, it’s quite possible we’ll forget an item or two on our grocery lists. While many grocery stores in Buffalo Grove will close on Christmas Day, a few will be open for those last-minute additions to the menu. Most also will be open Christmas Eve.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, along with those that won’t. As always, Patch encourages you to call ahead to your local store to confirm hours at that location.

Aldi: ALDI stores are closed on Christmas Day. However, ALDI stores will operate limited hours on Christmas Eve and will close by 7 p.m.

• 1202 W Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove

Costco: Some stores will be open for limited hours on Christmas Eve, and all stores will be closed Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.

• 25901 Riverwoods Road, Mettawa

CVS: All 24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will remain open with regular hours on Thanksgiving. Non-24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will close at 5 p.m. Some locations may have reduced pharmacy hours or may be closed for the holiday. The company recommends calling ahead to confirm store hours.

Jewel-Osco: Stores will be open but close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day.

• 79 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove

Mariano’s: Stores and pharmacies close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed Christmas Day.

• 450 W Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove.

Sam’s Club: Stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.

• Marketplace at Vernon Hills, 335 N Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills

Target: Most stores will close at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.

• 1400 E Lake Cook Road, Wheeling

Trader Joe’s: All stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Stores are closed Christmas Day.

• 17 W Rand Road, Arlington Heights

Walgreens: Walgreens stores will be open regular business hours on Christmas Eve. Pharmacy hours will vary by location. All 24-hour locations will remain open 24 hours. On Christmas Day, most stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while 24-hour Walgreens locations and 24-hour pharmacies will remain open. Whole Foods: Stores will be open on Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location. Call ahead to your preferred store to confirm hours. All stores are closed Christmas Day.

Woodman's: All locations close at 5:45 p.m. Christmas Eve, close on Christmas and reopen 6 a.m. Dec. 26.
