Kitchen Fire Leaves Home Uninhabitable: Buffalo Grove FD
The Thursday fire occurred at a four-unit townhome on Thornapple Court, according to police.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A stove caught fire Thursday and left a unit in a townhome uninhabitable, according to the Buffalo Grove Fire Department. The lone occupant of the unit evacuated on their own and was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
The BGFD was dispatched to the four-unit townhome in the 200 block of Thornapple Court at around 11:25 a.m. BGFD was notified that an individual may be trapped in the unit and upgraded the call to a working fire response. The fire was quickly extinguished and no occupants were found in the house.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

BGFD was assisted by the Arlington Heights, Long Grove, Palatine, Wheeling and Des Plaines fire departments.
