Lincolnshire Marriott Theatre, Resort Evacuated; Performances Cancelled
Flooding has hit the theater and resort, which is located along the Des Plaines River.

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL - The Marriott Theatre and the Chicago Marriott Lincolnshire Resort have been evacuated as the nearby Des Plaines River continues to rise. The theater and resort have been impacted by flooding. With floodwaters expected to rise on Friday, the village of Lincolnshire requested the evacuation "after it was determined that emergency response to the resort will be impeded by the floodwaters," according to a post from the Marriott Theatre Facebook page.
"The theatre and resort are currently inaccessible - please don’t attempt to drive there," according to a post Thursday afternoon on the Marriott Theatre Facebook page. "We’d like to thank you for your patience as we work to dry out!
Meanwhile, all performances of The Bridges of Madison County have been cancelled through Sunday, July 16. All customers will be given a choice of new tickets to any future performance, pending availability. The box office is currently closed and is expected to re-open on Tuesday, July 18. Those looking to reschedule can call 847-634-0200 on or after Tuesday.
