The Buffalo Grove Rotary Club is back at it, for its annual Duck Race Fundraiser, which will take place during Buffalo Grove Days (BG Days) on Sunday, September 4, starting at 5:30 p.m. Thirteen lucky ducks will be drawn randomly as winners from a local residential pool, and the event will be simulcast live on the Main Stage’s big screen during the BG Days festival.

The Duck Race is the Rotary Club’s largest fundraiser of the year and makes a vast range of local and international charitable service efforts possible. These include community grants for nonprofits that serve the local community, college scholarships for Buffalo Grove and Stevenson High School students, food drives and Thanksgiving food baskets for in-need families. The club also supports international clean water efforts, polio eradication and yearly mission trips to Guatemala, where Rotarians volunteer their time working on development projects, as well healthcare and educational initiatives that assist and benefit Guatemalans who are living below the poverty level.

“We are very excited to again host this event where 13 people will win cash prizes while supporting our many causes that serve the local community and those in need around the world,” said Buffalo Grove Rotary Club President Lisa Siwek. “This event is one of our most fun interactions between our Rotarians and the community – so please consider purchasing your duck tickets by visiting our BG Days booth – or just stop by to say hello. We hope to see you there!”
