'Person Of Interest' In Fatal Bar Shooting In Custody: Wheeling PD
Police have also released the identity of the 24-year-old victim from the early Sunday morning incident that followed a fight.

WHEELING, IL — A 24-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning following an altercation at a Wheeling bar. Police said the incident occurred at around 2 a.m. at the Social Bar & Grill, 401 East Dundee.
Jacob Taylor, of Hampshire, was identified as the man fatally shot Monday afternoon. Police also announced a person of interest is in custody.
Taylor was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and subsequently pronounced dead. No other patrons were injured.

According to police, witnesses and bystanders reported an altercation preceded the shooting, with the possible suspect fleeing the scene after the gunfire.
The Wheeling Police Department said officers and investigators are actively pursuing leads, while the department's social services team is notifying family members of the deceased.
