Man Found Dead In Car At Grocery Store: Buffalo Grove PD

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A man was found dead in a car Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Woodman's Food Market. A large fire and police presence was on scene at 1550 Deerfield Parkway for over three hours following discovery.

Police said identification of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

At around 2:57 p.m., the Buffalo Grove police and fire departments were dispatched to the scene for a well-being check on a vehicle with a person inside and foul odor being emitted.

Upon arrival, police found the man in a blue Chevrolet Equinox parked on the south end of the parking lot. First responders confirmed that the man was deceased. There was never a threat to the public, according to police. The scene has since been cleared.

The Lake County Coroner, who will conduct an exam of the deceased, was called to the scene.
