Man Found Dead Along Fence Line At Chicago Executive Airport: Report

WHEELING, IL — A man was found dead Sunday morning near Chicago Executive Airport. Motorists were being asked to avoid several closed roads due to the ongoing investigation, according to the Wheeling Police Department.

WGN-TV is reporting Prospect Heights responded to the airport at 79 E. Palatine Frontage Road at around 9 a.m. for reports of an unconscious man along the airport's fence line. He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation has revealed the man may have been hit by a vehicle, according to the media outlet.

The westbound lanes of Palatine Road and Frontage, between Milwaukee Avenue and Wolf Road were closed. Wheeling police said there are no known threats to the public.
