McFun for Holmes Middle School McTeachers

Holmes Middle School held a McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Wheeling McDonald's on Dundee to help raise money for their PTO

On Wednesday, April 8th, Holmes Middle School held a McTeacher’s Night at the McDonald’s on 188 E. Dundee Rd. in Wheeling to support their PTO.  Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to help raise money for their PTO.  Many teachers worked very hard including McPrincipal Hopkins and McAssistan Principal Bonilla.  The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, serving drinks, clearing tables and serving ice cream.  Teachers working included:  McCall, McGrath, Gouletas, Morris, Hlavacek, Poynor, Gawron, Rein, Share, Valentin, Lindholm, Hummel, Liro and Giancola.  There were even teachers singing for tips.  Holmes Middle School McTeachers had it all covered and the families all had a great time!  All the kids came to see their teachers working at the Wheeling McDonald’s.  Staci Allan and Arlen Gould from the District 21 Board of Education came out to support Holmes Middle School.  A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening.  Special thank you goes to Maria Roland, PTO President, who organized the entire event!  Ronald McDonald’s appearance was courtesy of the Wheeling McDonald’s owner/operator, Sue Conley.  For more information about events provided by the Wheeling McDonald’s, contact their Community Relations Director, Julie.travers@Comcast.net
