Missing Buffalo Grove Man, 83, Has Dementia: Police
Naum Ferdman, who was on foot when he went missing, has not been seen since Monday evening.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — An 83-year-old Buffalo Grove man remains missing Tuesday, according to the Village and police. Naum Ferdman, 83, who has dementia, was last seen at around 5:30 p.m. Monday after leaving a residence on Old Oak Drive, near Buffalo Grove Road on foot.
Ferdman has grey hair, brown eyes, a short white beard and is 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown winter hat, black coat and dark blue sweatpants. Police said Ferman is in possession of his wallet and keys, but does not have a cellphone on him.
More details were released by police Tuesday afternoon, including that Ferdman speaks Russian and knows very little English. He is described as being very shy and not likely to ask for help. A photo, believed to be of Ferdman at Kilmer Park on Monday, was released by police Tuesday night.

Ferdman told family members, who were the last to see him, he was going for a walk to a local school park.
Following a previous incident, Ferdman was located on Buffalo Grove Road near Vernon Hills. A local alert has been sent to residents and a Silver Search for a missing person has also been activated.
