Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash With Minivan In Wheeling
The Monday afternoon crash shut down a portion of Milwaukee Avenue for several hours.
WHEELING, IL — A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he collided with a minivan in a Monday afternoon crash near Milwaukee Avenue and East Manchester Drive. The crash, which happened around 1 p.m., shut down Milwaukee Avenue in all directions from Hintz Road to Dundee Road for around five hours, according to the Wheeling Police Department.
The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old from Willowbrook, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the minivan is a 58-year-old man from Riverwoods, who was not injured.
In addition to the Wheeling Police Department, the multi-jurisdictional Serious Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the crash scene with a drone.
