Naani's Cafe Opens, Yoga Studio Coming To The Clove In Buffalo Grove

Village officials also shared updates on Lucky Strike, the planned Whole Foods store and construction planning for Clove Park.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A family-owned Indian restaurant has opened at The Clove, and a yoga studio owned by a Buffalo Grove resident will be joining the development, village officials announced in their latest update.

Village President Eric Smith and Community Development Director Nicole Woods highlighted Naani's Cafe and Yoga Vita while sharing progress on the redevelopment of the former Town Center.

Smith said residents frequently ask about bringing more small, family-owned restaurants to Buffalo Grove.

"Residents always come up to me and ask me about restaurants and how can we get more small family-owned restaurants in town," Smith said on the Village's YouTube channel.

Naani's Cafe, which has a location in Naperville, recently opened its second location in Buffalo Grove, Woods said. The restaurant serves Indian food and has an outdoor patio.

Smith and Woods said they visited the restaurant and sampled appetizers before recording the update.

"We thank them for their investment in Buffalo Grove," Smith said.

Patch reported in August that construction was continuing on Naani's Cafe in the north building next to Sushi Grove. That update also highlighted the opening of Dutch Bros Coffee on the south end of the development.

Yoga Studio Coming To The 250

Yoga Vita will occupy ground-floor commercial space at The 250, the apartment building anchoring The Clove. Woods said the studio is owned by a Buffalo Grove resident. An opening date has not been announced.

"Many people have been asking what's going to go on the first floor of the 250 building," Woods said. "Yoga Vita, which is a yoga studio, will be going in."

The studio adds another tenant to the development's mix of housing, restaurants and businesses.

Lucky Strike Rebranding, Whole Foods Update

The former Bowlero bowling alley has received new paint and Lucky Strike branding as part of a nationwide rebranding effort, Woods said.

Whole Foods, meanwhile, remains anticipated to open in 2027. Woods said planning and construction are expected to proceed toward that opening.

Patch reported in March that Whole Foods had assumed the lease for a building previously intended for Amazon Fresh. Both grocery chains are owned by Amazon.

Clove Park Planning Continues

The village is still working through financing and construction plans for Clove Park. Woods said officials will share more information as the timeline is refined.

The park was part of the original redevelopment plan approved in 2022. At the time, the approximately $150 million project called for about 295 apartments, roughly 78,000 square feet of new commercial space and a public park. Village officials described it as Buffalo Grove's largest redevelopment project.
