New Tesla Dealership Vandalized, Buffalo Grove Woman Charged: Police

The 26-year-old resident was charged with a felony following the incident last Friday at the new Dundee Road business.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Following a report of vandalism last week at the new Tesla dealership, a Buffalo Grove woman has been arrested. Erin L. White, 26, is accused of felony criminal damage to property and criminal trespass (misdemeanor) following the Friday incident.

White is due back in court Wednesday for a detention hearing.

Police responded to the Tesla sales, service and delivery center at 4:07 p.m. Friday, in the 900 block of Dundee Road.

Following an August 2023 announcement, the 50,000 square-foot Tesla dealership is set to open this year as part of the Bison Crossing development. Daily Herald is reporting the graffiti on the building included several profanity-filled messages on the glass of the showroom. Similar incidents across the country have been reported in recent weeks, most targeted at President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the latter being the CEO of Tesla.
