Police Issue 72 Citations During Memorial Day Safety Campaign In Buffalo Grove

The Memorial Day "Click It or Ticket" enforcement period ran from May 16 to May 27.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Local police issued 72 citations during the recent Memorial Day "Click It or Ticket" traffic safety campaign, which ran from May 16 through May 27. According to Buffalo Grove police, 45 citations were issued for seat belt violations as well as the following:

  • 1 DUI arrest
  • 1 traffic arrest
  • 1 suspended/revoked license
  • 5 uninsured motorist citations
  • 6 speeding citations
  • 6 distracted driving citations

"Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives," Commander Tara Anderson said.
