Erick Sanchez-Mendez, 30, of the 1400 block of Carol Court, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding in a construction zone, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 9:19 p.m. May 2, in the 2100 block of E. Lake Cook Road. A court date of June 13 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A resident in the 0-10 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 9:27 a.m. April 30, someone had signed for a package from the USPS containing $200 in merchandise that did not belong to them.
- A package was delivered and stolen from a mailroom at 4:37 p.m. May 5, in the 0-10 block of Villa Verde Drive.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A portable toilet was discovered at 9:12 a.m. May 5, burned on the park grounds at 951 McHenry Road.
RETAIL THEFT
A woman was issued an adjudication ticket for retail theft at 3:38 p.m. May 5, for stealing merchandise from Woodman's, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway.
