Resident Fires Gun After Teens Pull Into Long Grove Driveway: Police
No one was shot or injured during the Tuesday evening incident, but police said two shots were fired from a handgun.

LONG GROVE, IL — A resident is facing a felony gun charge following a Tuesday evening incident involving two teenagers pulling their car into his driveway. Vladan Mihailovic, 55, of the 1800 block of Pheasant Run, is accused of reckless discharge of a firearm (class 4 felony), and was arrested following the incident. He remains held in the Lake County Jail pending an initial court hearing Wednesday morning, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Following a report of shots being fired in the area, police responded to Mihailovic's address at around 9:50 p.m. Deputies arrived and learned nobody was shot during the incident, but a handgun had been discharged, according to a news release.
Two teenagers — a male and a female — told police they pulled into Mihailovic's driveway as they were attempting to go to a friend's home, who lived next door. The teens said they did not realize they had pulled into the wrong driveway.

Soon thereafter, according to police, the teens were approached by Mihailovic, who demanded to know why they were in his driveway. When the teens attempted to explain, Mihailovic became loud, argumentative, and told them to leave his property. As the teens began driving out of the driveway, police said Mihailovic pulled out a handgun and fired two shots.
Police said the teens initially fled from the area, but then drove to their friend’s home, where they met with sheriff’s deputies shortly after they arrived in the area.
