BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A 49-year-old Buffalo Grove man died Monday from injuries sustained in a car accident near Village Hall. John Rodgers IV, 49, of Buffalo Grove, was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville following the 2:30 p.m. accident and pronounced dead a short time later, according to the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Rodgers was driving his 2015 Subaru Legacy, traveling westbound on Lake Cook Road, when it veered into the eastbound lanes and struck a 1995 Peterbilt dump truck at Raupp Boulevard, police tell Patch. The driver of the truck was not injured. The Major Crash Assistance Team was called to assist in the crash investigation.
