Search Dogs Offer Clues On Endangered Missing Wheeling Man: Police

WHEELING, IL — The search continues for a missing and endangered Wheeling man, who hasn't been seen since Tuesday night. According to police, Illinois-Wisconsin Search & Rescue dogs have determined Joon Lee, 45, who is nonverbal, was last seen just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, walking southbound on Milwaukee Avenue at Palatine Road.

"We're actively following up with transportation services to determine if Joon used a train or a bus," Wheeling police said in a social media update Friday.

Police said Lee — who is 5-foot-3, 110 pounds — was wearing a green hat, gray sweater, blue jeans and blue tennis shoes when he was last seen.

The Wheeling Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 847-459-2632.
