Sente Highlights Area Cooling Centers amidst Scorching Summer Temperatures

Rep. Carol Sente is encouraging residents to beat the heat by visiting free area "cooling centers"

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – As scorching summer temperatures continue into July, State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is encouraging residents to beat the heat by visiting free area “cooling centers” – designated air-conditioned community facilities that allow residents to relax in cool settings.

“Summer heat can be dangerous, especially for our seniors and children who may not have access to air conditioning,” said Sente. “Our community provides resources that allow residents to stay healthy and enjoy their summer. No one should have to suffer from extreme heat.”

The area cooling centers below allow for residents and their families to stay cool and comfortable during hot summer days:
