Sente to Hold Education Town Hall in Buffalo Grove
Rep. Carol Sente is holding an upcoming town hall

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – To answer questions and provide an update on a new proposal that would annually provide local schools over $1.1 million in additional funding from the state of Illinois, State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is hosting an education town hall meeting at Ivy Hall Elementary School’s MAT Room, located at 1072 Ivy Hall Ln. in Buffalo Grove.
“Our children, our teachers and our community deserve only the best, which is why advocating to improve Illinois schools is one of my top priorities,” Sente said. “I look forward to providing local families with an update and hearing their feedback on the new education funding legislation, efforts to end the budget impasse and other initiatives from the spring legislative session.”
Sente recently voted for Senate Bill 1, which through a new school funding formula, would provide over $700,000 in additional state money to local schools if signed into law. Unlike previous education proposals, the legislation ensures that no schools in Illinois would lose money as a result of the new school funding formula.
