State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, met with her Environmental Citizens Advisory Committee to provide an update, receive input on this session’s environmental legislation, and discuss current issues on constituents' minds.
“Monday's dialogue with constituents and organizations passionate about the environment was productive. We discussed renewable energy, water pollution control, hydraulic fracking, electronics recycling, and organic composting," Sente said. "As Vice-Chair of the House Environment Committee, I will share their comments with other legislators, so we can all work together on making our community healthier, safer, and more sustainable, while also looking for innovative ways to create jobs in the green technology sector.”
Those in attendance at Sente’s Environmental Citizens’ Advisory Committee included local green advocates and members from a wide variety of environmental organizations, including the Environmental Law & Policy Center, Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, Lake County Forest Preserve District, and the Riverwoods Preservation Council. For more information, please contact Sente’s full-time constituent service office at (847) 478-9909, or email RepSente@gmail.com.
