Sente Holds Mid-Session Town Hall Meeting with Local Officials

State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, held a Mid-Session Town Hall Meeting with State Representative Elaine Nekritz, D-Northbrook, and Buffalo Grove Village President Jeff Braiman on Tuesday night in Buffalo Grove.

“It was wonderful to see so many area residents come together to share a public dialogue on the complex issues affecting our state and community,” Sente said. “The evening began with a short update on some of my legislative initiatives this session and segued into a dynamic discussion focused on economic development, job creation, and budget reform. Some of the other topics raised by those in attendance included school funding, pension reform, and taxes.”

Residents from throughout Buffalo Grove and neighboring towns attended to learn more about proposals brought before the legislature in recent months and anticipated topics of discussion for when the General Assembly resumes next week. Constituents who were unable to attend Tuesday’s event are encouraged to attend Sente’s Coffee Shop Stop on Saturday, April 26 from 9-10 a.m. at Bontà located at 430 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Lincolnshire.
