Sente Joins Community in Helping Senior Citizens; Participates in A-May-Zing Mundelein Day of Caring
State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, joined Mundelein residents and organizations in participating in the community’s 19th Annual A-May-Zing Mundelein Day of Caring event on Saturday morning.
“It was heartwarming to see so many volunteers come together to help local seniors with household tasks that may have otherwise been very challenging for them to complete on their own,” Sente said. “I am honored to represent such a conscientious and caring district that exemplifies what it means to be a good neighbor.”
A-May-Zing Mundelein is an annual community service project co-sponsored by the Village of Mundelein and the Mundelein Police Department. During this annual event, local residents, organizations, and businesses come together to assist members of the community. During Saturday’s event, Sente and her staff provided a helping hand to a local senior by completing a variety of household chores and maintenance projects at her home.
