VERNON HILLS, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills and local religious leaders discussed the challenges facing local families, as well as how faith groups and government could increase collaboration to better serve the community during her Interfaith Breakfast last Friday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Mundelein.
“These breakfasts gather people from different walks of life, who have different beliefs, traditions and views,” Sente said. “But what one quickly realize is that we all have similar values, such as a relentless drive to take care of the poor, sick and elderly; an aspiration to help the environment; and a vision for a more just society.”
