Sente Prioritizes Economic Development at Chamber Legislative Forum

State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, made discussions on economic development a focal point during the Buffalo Grove-Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce’s annual end of session legislative forum on Tuesday afternoon.

“As a former business owner, I understand the challenges many of our local employers face and value their participation in these events which allow us to discuss possible solutions,” Sente said. “We must make it a priority to help our local businesses grow, as when they succeed, so too does the economic strength of our region. By working together, we can advocate on behalf of pro-business policies that will attract new businesses, create jobs, and encourage the development of infrastructure that will benefit our community.”

Business leaders and local officials from throughout the community attended the event to learn more about legislation and initiatives from the recently completed spring session. The event began with brief updates from the legislative panel and transitioned into an open forum where they answered questions from the audience. Residents who were unable to attend Tuesday’s event are encouraged to join Sente’s Economic Development Citizens’ Advisory Committee, which meets semi-annually to discuss issues that are of importance to the business community as a whole.
