A service will be held Sept. 19 for Hazel Swirsley (nee Hausmann) of Buffalo Grove, formerly of Skokie. She was the beloved wife of the late E. Edwin; loving mother of Jonathan (Karen) Swirsley, Susan Swirsley, David (Lydia) Swirsley and Alan (Nancy) Swirsley; proud grandmother of Andrew, Jeremy, Megan, Alexis, Alyssa, Nicole and Adam Swirsley; and dear sister of Estelle (the late Dr. Ralph) Cohen. Mrs. Swirsley earned a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and worked as a copywriter for Sears for many years. She loved life and her family. She also loved the arts. A service will begin at noon Sept. 19 at <a href="http://www.cjfinfo.com" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel</a>, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road), Skokie.
