'Sew Beautiful' Buffalo Grove's Textile Arts Competition Deadline Extended

The submission deadline for the first-ever Sew Beautiful Textile Arts Competition, sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Arts Commission has been extended to Friday, April 15th. Please see the information below if you are interested in getting involved.

Theme: Classic and contemporary artwork in any fiber media or combinations of fiber media. Media other than fiber may be incorporated if the central or key element being explored is clearly fiber or fiber technique. All styles and subject matter are encouraged.

Categories: Entries shall be accepted in the following categories:

· Usable

· Wearable

· Decorative

Judging will be on the following criteria:

· Quality and craftsmanship

· Design

· Creativity

· Uniqueness and originality

Eligibility: Residents of Buffalo Grove are eligible to enter this contest: Winners may be requested to provide evidence of residence upon request.

Accommodations: Appropriate accommodations for disability shall be made for entrants as requested.
