The Stationery Studio Fights Hunger for #GivingTuesday

The Stationery Studio is hosting a food drive November 13 - November 27 to help fill their community food pantry this holiday season. Partnering with #GivingTuesday, TheStationeryStudio.com is hoping to raise awareness of the need in their community and fill their local food pantry. They will be holding the food drive in their lobby where people are encouraged to drop off needed items. Some suggested items needed are:

• Pasta, pasta sauces, crackers, rice, noodles, baked beans, cereal, oatmeal, pop tarts, macaroni and cheese, instant potatoes, bisquick, pancake mix, canned meats, canned fruit/vegetables, canned meals such as beef stew and chili, kleenex, dish soap, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, laundry detergent, bath soap and paper towels.

The food drive will benefit the Vernon Township Food Pantry. The Stationery Studio has been committed to helping the Vernon Township Food Pantry for years and chose them as their #GivingTuesday partner this holiday season."We are happy to help in the community we work and live in," said Renee Redman, owner of TheStationeryStudio.com. "We encourage members of our community to drop off needed items to help make an impact this #GivingTuesday." Collected items will be delivered on #GivingTuesday, November 28. For those interested in helping with the food drive, please drop off items at 975 Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove and look for the poster and collection area in the lobby. Items may be dropped off Monday - Friday during the hours of 9am - 5pm. Items must be delivered no later than Monday, November 28.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
