Student-Named 'Snow Tiger' Snowplow Clears Buffalo Grove Streets
The name, entered by student Alyssa Hames, was chosen by Aptakisic-Tripp School District's Tripp School faculty over 25 other submissions.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Following a weekend of spring-like weather, Monday was marked by the return of wintry conditions and a Buffalo Grove snowplow was more than ready to go. According to a social media post from the Village, the "Snow Tiger" plow, named by a local student, hit the streets in Buffalo Grove's Lake County residential neighborhoods mainly west of Willow Stream Park and south of Deerfield.
Student Alyssa Hames came up with the name and her submission was chosen over 25 others in a contest organized by the faculty at the Aptakisic-Tripp School District's Tripp School, according to the Village.
