4. Make it business related. Don’t use a random image or saying that you found on the internet. Use quotes, phrases, logos and images that pertain to your business and what you’re selling. Think, “Every kiss begins with Kay.”
5. Include what products you’re selling. A slogan only goes so far. For instance, Kay Jewelers, it’s unlikely that someone would know what that slogan pertains to without some sort of context. As a result, they coined their phrase by combining it with the image of a necklace, ring or earrings. Using a phrase combined with an image is simple but just as impactful.
6. Utilize social media. The best and most cost effective way to gain customers today is utilizing social media. This makes it an easy quick way for customers to go from their Facebook page to yours and from your Facebook page to your company’s website; the easiest source of advertising there is. Don’t be afraid to add your handle or taglines to your banners.
Trade shows are a great way to spread the word about your business and gain some intel on potential customers and potential competition. Make sure you use it wisely. Consider a minimalist approach with your signage and use only what represents your business – phrases, images, logos and slogans. Make it eye catching without being over the top and make it a small scale representation of what your business stands for. After all, if what you’re selling is your business, then you need to put your business into what you’re selling.
