On Wednesday, October 30, patrons at Vernon Area Public Library celebrated Halloween a little early and ahead of Thursday's snow. Two themed story times were attended by at-capacity crowds totaling more than 60 tots from newborns to age three. After the seasonal stories, caregivers guided their little ones in a "trick-or-reading" parade to collect a treat at each of five stops. The annual celebration is always popular with patrons and fills quickly.
