Twin Groves Runners Compete in State Finals
Isabelle Sparreo and Jared Boroski made strong showings in state competition.
cross country runners Isabelle Sparreo and Jared Borowski represented and the Stevenson Patriot Athletic Conference at the IESA Cross Country AA State Finals Oct. 15 in Bloomington-Normal.
Isabelle, a sixth-grader, ran the 3,200-meter course in 12:30, finishing 43rd in a field of 260 runners. Jared Borowski, an eighth-grader, completed the 3,200-meter course in 11:14, finishing 41st of 261 runners. Their coaches are Cathy Alland (pictured right) and Julie Sitkiewicz.
