BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A special Veterans Day ceremony is planned Friday in Buffalo Grove. Through the Buffalo Grove Park District, the free event will be held at the Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Road. A reception will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed by the program at 1:30 p.m. The VFW Post 981 Color Guard will present and remove the Colors, as well as present a very special armed services flag presentation. Speeches and military music will also be included in the celebration, according to the Buffalo Grove Park District. Lunch will be served before the program.
