Village Reminds Residents About Political Yard Sign Rules
Buffalo Grove residents can place unlimited signs on their property, as long as these guidelines are followed, the village said.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Village of Buffalo Grove is reminding residents to adhere to some basic rules when putting up political yard signs on their property. While unlimited signs are allowed, it's important the signs don't become safety hazards, the village said.
As long as signs are not within the public right-of-way, do not prohibit the sight lines of vehicle traffic and do not exceed 32 square feet in area, you won't have them removed, the village said.
"Political signs may not ever be placed upon public property, or within the public right-of-way, which generally includes the area between the public sidewalk and the street, and any roadway median areas," the village said in a letter to residents.
