No Charges Expected In Fatal Stabbing
No charges are expected against a 19-year-old, who said he stabbed the man in self defense, police said.

WHEELING, IL — A 24-year-old Wheeling man has died two weeks after being stabbed at a party at his home. Rafeel Zacarias was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge at 5:35 p.m. on May 6. Zacarias was originally taken to the hospital in critical condition following the stabbing on April 22, and was pronounced dead while on life support, Wheeling Deputy Police Chief Todd Wolff told the Daily Herald.
Zacarias, of the 500 block of East Merle Lane in Wheeling, and his 26-year-old brother were stabbed during a fight at a party they were hosting at their home during the early morning hours of April 22, according to an earlier article on the Daily Herald.
A 19-year-old Wheeling man is accused of stabbing the brothers and told authorities he acted in self-defense, according to the Daily Herald. No charges are expected against the teen – and Wolff said Zacarias' death will not change that.
