Wheeling High School’s drama department presents The Nerd as this year’s fall production. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3-4 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 5.
The play is about a man named Willum who receives a phone call during his 34th birthday party from the man who saved his life in Vietnam. Willum is excited about seeing the man to whom he owes his life, but really has no idea what is in store for him, including the unpredictable twist at the conclusion.
The cast includes Harlan Rosen, Meghan Ausnehmer, Aaron Jung, Nick Caputo, Maryssa Peterson, Taylor Gayles, Marco Mazzetta and Tegan Reschke. Orin Xavier is the director, and Derek Ellertson is the technical director.
