10 Neighbor Complaints In Burr Ridge
Residents call police about noise, watering, after-hours construction, dogs and parking.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police have received a variety of complaints in recent days from residents about issues in their neighborhoods. Here is information from the police reports:
- A resident in the 7300 block of Park Avenue told police June 8 that a neighbor screamed at her when her dog approached. She said the dog did not cross the property line. An officer advised the woman to call the village about establishing a firm property line.
- A resident near Fieldstone and Plainfield told police June 12 that the driver of a 2008 Acura sped through the subdivision. An officer spoke to a resident at the registered owner's home. She said she did know which of her children had been driving the Acura, but she would find out and remind the child of the speed limit.
- Based on a neighbor's complaint, an officer ordered a roofing crew to cease all work about 8:30 p.m. June 5 in the 7500 block of Woodland Court and informed employees of the village's outdoor work hours. The person in charge said he understood and would stay within approved working hours.
- A resident in the Oak Creek subdivision near Bel Aire Court and Oak Creek Drive said the sprinklers in the subdivision were going off before 6 p.m. An officer did not see any sprinklers on, but observed damp ground. The officers left a message for the subdivision informing it of the village's watering regulations.
- A resident in the 8400 block of Meadowbrook Drive complained June 9 that semi-trucks had been driving down her street and were not parked on South Frontage Road. An officer cited four trucks for parking in a no parking zone. The officer did not observe any trucks still running.
- A resident complained about 10:30 p.m. June 12 that a loud pool party was taking place in the 6100 block of County Line Road. An officer spoke to the homeowner. There was no party, no one in the pool and no music being played.
- A resident in the 8500 block of Johnston Road complained June 11 that cars were parked on both sides of the road, creating congestion. The cars were legally parked, but residents at one house agreed to move their cars to one side of the road.
- Police received a loud noise complaint about 10 p.m. June 6 in the 8600 block of Crest Court. The resident said the music would be turned down.
- Police received a loud noise complaint about 11 p.m. June 6 in the 1000 block of Laurie Lane. The homeowner said he was hosting a party, but would turn down the music.
- Police responded to a loud noise complaint about midnight June 6 on Woodgate Drive. The resident said he was having a small gathering, but promised to lower the music.
