3 Rough Road Situations In Burr Ridge: Police
Public works called for two cases where streets were in bad shape, reports say.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police responded to two situations in recent days involving problems with streets. Here are the reports:
- A resident in the 400 block of Bennacott Lane said Aug. 4 a pothole in the cul-de-sac has caused children to fall of their bicycles. Public works blocked off the area with barricades until it can be repaired.
- A resident in the 15W400 block of 89th Street was backing out of the driveway Aug. 5 when a portion of 89th Street caved in under his rear tires. The village's public works department was notified.
- The village's public works department reported Aug. 6 that Galeeny Concrete was breaking up a concrete driveway and placing the remnants in the street near 72nd Street and Giddings Avenue. An officer told the company that it needed to clear the concrete from the street immediately or the company would be held liable for any damage to the roadway. The company complied.
