$20K Stolen From Armored Cash Firm in Burr Ridge: Cops

Employee at Loomis goes on break and never returns, police report says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — A company that specializes in keeping money secure with armored trucks found $20,000 of its cash missing recently in Burr Ridge, according to a police report. A theft was believed to have happened shortly after midnight last Thursday at Loomis, 8040 S. Madison St.

The suspect is alleged to have stolen the money before going on her break, police said. She never returned. The business tried to contact her by phone, but was unsuccessful, the report said.

The police were called about five hours after the theft was believed to have happened. No other information was available. Patch has filed a public records request.
