$35K Bracelet Reported Stolen From Burr Ridge Home
Homeowner blames workers who had been in home. Police did not get access to conduct an investigation.
BURR RIDGE, IL — A $35,000 bracelet was reported as stolen from a house in Burr Ridge earlier this month, which the homeowner blamed on workers in her home, police said.
According to a police report, the theft occurred between Nov. 3 and Nov. 6 at a house in the 8400 block of Arrowhead Farm Drive.
The homeowner told police that she believed workers in her house stole the bracelet Nov. 5, going through an open bedroom door and taking the item from the bathroom counter.

The woman was at the airport when she called police and said she would not return until Nov. 24, police said.
She said the house had no signs of burglary, no forced entry and no drawers rummaged through. She told police she needed to make a police report, so she could make a claim with her insurance company.

According to police, the case was closed because officers did not have access to the house to conduct a thorough investigation and because there were no surveillance cameras and no signs of a burglary. Police said they considered it a lost property case.
