Teen Tech Week is March 8-14, and the Indian Prairie Public Library is hosting its first-ever 3D Design Challenge for teens in grades 7-12.
Students are challenged to design a 3D object that will make the life of a student easier. Entries will be judged on functionality, creativity, and originality. All entries must meet the library’s 3D printer policy (visit 3dprinter.ippl.info) and will be printed free of charge. Questions and entries can be emailed to Teen Librarian Tyler Works at tylerw@ippl.info with the subject line 3D Design Challenge.
Entries are due Saturday, March 14, and winners will be announced the following week. Prizes include a 3Doodler 2.0 pen (a portable 3D printing pen) for first place; 10 free hours of 3D printing at IPPL for second place; and 5 free hours of 3D printing at IPPL for third place.
