4 Animal Calls To Burr Ridge Police

One resident complained about his neighbor's dogs constantly running through his yard, report says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — In recent days, Burr Ridge police have dealt with four animals calls — three about dogs and another about coyotes. Here is information from the reports:

  • A resident in the 7300 block of Park Avenue informed police June 19 his neighbor's dogs have been running through his yard constantly. He wanted the neighbors cited for having dogs at large. He said he had videos of the incidents. The officer told the resident to call police when the incidents happened again and to have video and photos of the dogs in his yard ready. The resident said he would.
  • A resident in the 11500 block of Burr Oak Lane said his daughter's dog, Babs, bit him on the upper right thigh June 19. The officer completed an animal bite form.
  • Gatehouse security in the 500 block of Ambriance Drive told police June 22 that residents were worried about coyotes in the area. An officer was unable to find the animals.
  • Police were called about 8 p.m. June 23 to a house on Northgate Place, where the residents said their 9-year-old dog, Sable, collapsed and was not breathing. By the time an officer arrived, Sable had died. The officer called the veterinarian, so the residents could bring the dog's body there the next day. The officer helped the family carry Sable to her bed.
