4 Disputes At Burr Ridge Businesses: Police
A construction superintendent complains about a union representative on a worksite, a report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — The latest Burr Ridge police reports included four disputes at local businesses. Here is information from the reports:
- A Kee Construction superintendent informed police Oct. 13 that a Local 150 union representative refused to leave a construction zone on Wolf Road. The union representative said he was speaking to Beary Landscaping employees who are contracted by Kee Construction and are Local 150 members. Officers informed the representative that the Pleasantdale Park District gave authority for the construction zone. The representative then agreed to speak with members outside the zone.
- An officer notified a Brookdale Burr Ridge nursing home employee Oct. 13 that police would be unable to subpoena a Snapchat video showing a co-worker asking a resident a question. The resident was not harmed in any way in the video, police said. Brookdale closed its investigation because it could find no evidence. The co-worker denied ever making a video.
- Staff at McDonald's, 9101 Route 83, told police about 1 p.m. Oct. 17 that a customer was upset with her order and would not leave the drive-thru lane. Two officers spoke with the woman, who was now in a parking spot and told them she was upset about spilled soda on her cup. She was given a refund before the officers' arrival and said she was leaving. McDonald's staff was reported as happy with the outcome.
- An employee at Wholesome Products on Shore Drive told police Oct. 15 that her ex-boyfriend showed up at her work to try to talk with her. He left when she got out her phone to call the police. She said she was trying to get a restraining order. She said she wanted the incident documented and to have an officer tell her ex-boyfriend that she didn't want him around. An officer called the man, who promised to avoid the woman.
