4 Domestic Disputes in Burr Ridge: Police
In one case, a woman is accused of hitting man with bowl and backing her car into his, report says.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge police have responded to four domestic disputes in recent days. Here is information from the reports:
- Police responded to a domestic battery about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 2 on 72nd Street. A man said his wife hit him with a bowl of food and then proceeded to back her 2017 Audi into his 2016 BMW. He did not want to sign complaints. He was provided with domestic violence paperwork.
- A guest at the Marriott, 1200 Burr Ridge Parkway, wanted her boyfriend to leave the hotel for the night Aug. 2. He had already departed from the room and was in the parking lot. An officer gave him a ride to the Hinsdale Lake Terrace Apartments in Willowbrook.
- A domestic disturbance was reported about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in the 11300 block of 71st Street. A man and woman had an argument. One of them agreed to collect some personal items and leave the area. About an hour later, an officer saw a car driven by the woman run a stop sign at Burr Ridge Parkway and Bridewell. The woman drove around the area randomly. Eventually stopping at Capri, the woman was upset from the domestic incident and apologized for running the stop sign. She agreed to park her car for the night and get a ride home from her uncle.
- Police took two calls Aug. 2 from a man and a woman who are in the process of getting divorced. In the first call, a man asked the police to check the well-being of his two daughters, who were with his wife on Fars Cove. An officer went by and reported the daughters looked fine. A couple of hours later, the woman called police to say her husband was going to Fars Cove to pick up their daughters. She did not want to leave the girls with him. There is no child custody agreement. The officer advised the woman to send her husband a no-trespass notice. The man told the officer he would not go to the house.
